Lake Powell and the southwest!

Hey guys, very sorry I haven’t posted lately, I’ve been a little busy. Anyway, recently I took a trip to awesome Lake Powell and then down to New Mexico! I photographed many beautiful landscapes along the way and would love to share them with you all. Arizona and New Mexico have great treasures like Lake Powell, Antelope Canyon, Horseshoe Bend, Monument Valley, forests and the White Sands in the middle of the dessert!

I took this trip because, well, I felt like it was time to take a little getaway and because I’m about to be 30! I thought a fun boat adventure and sightseeing/camping with friends would be a great way to unwind for a minute. My favorite part of the trip was the boat ride through the lake and being poolside in front of the lake with my love 😉 Antelope Canyon was also super magnificent and I am definitely going back when it’s not Memorial Day weekend and packed with people! Our group only scratched the surface exploring this great lake and I will definitely come back to play!

These photos are shot with a Nikon D750 camera and obviously compressed here. Please go to the photography section where I will be uploading all photos shortly and where you can see much more landscape in depth! All photography there is available for purchase and can be turned into great canvas art! Thanks for your support everyone…

The best part of the trip was being on the boat with these beauties and my captain!! Jumping off the boat into the middle of the lake and exploring Labyrinth Bay were the highlights!

Taking in the great lake before strolling into Labyrinth bay! Here is my sister at the bow.

I think we decided to wear natural mud masks to protect ourselves from the sun. This is my friend Anyeli rockin’ it at Labyrinth Bay!

My sister kickin’ it down at Laybrinth Bay! We had a great time walking the landscape while the hubby was fishing in the boat!

Amazing Lower Antelope Canyon. Formed by sand, water, more water, cracking and wind. The canyon provides natural air conditioning inside. Have to go again when there isn’t a ton of people! 😉

Looks like a female in the wind! So cool…<3

The tour guide from Antelope told us to catch the sunset at Horseshoe Bend. I was debating that or showering at the hotel as I thought I’ve seen this place from Utah before. I was wrong! So happy we got to see this. The view punches you in the gut when you step over and see it. No photo can capture this behemoth in all its glory! That tiny faint white thing at the bottom is a campsite where they lit a fire and everything! Thanks to a guy named Mark from Philly for lending me this fish eye lens.

Love this dude and being able to travel with him. Time for fajitas!

Entering Monument Valley! Such a crazy landscape that makes you ponder how it formed and the transition it went through.

Out popped a random forest on the way to Gallup, NM where we went to visit a friend.

Such a long drive to get to White Sands, NM from Gallup and then drive back home to CO after. The landscape is crazy and beautiful, though. Formed by gypsum, water and a basin. Find out its true origins here
